Employment Labour Market Services Division is one of five divisions within the Social Development and Poverty Reduction. The primary work of the division is to deliver WorkBC. WorkBC delivers an integrated system of employment supports and services to all British Columbians who seek labour market attachment and are eligible to work in BC.
The purpose of WorkBC Employment Services is to provide employment services and supports to individuals, employers and communities in B.C. to achieve the following outcomes:
Outcome 1: Clients become more independent through sustainable employment.
Outcome 2: WorkBC Employment Services contributes to an inclusive and progressive economy by helping employers and communities develop a strong work force.
Reporting to the Manager, Divisional Operations, the Administrative Assistant provides office support services to a dynamic team of directors, managers and staff across the Employment and Labour Market Services Division. You are a self-motivated individual who works well in a team environment as well as independently. You possess strong office administrative skills, sound knowledge of processing financial transactions and the understanding of how to set up and maintain the records management system. This position requires working with confidential information and providing liaison with ministry executive offices.
